Southwestern Golfers Move To 5-0

LAKEWOOD – Southwestern improved to 5-0 on Friday as the Trojans rolled past Dunkirk, 39-15 in a Division 1 golf match played at Maplehurst Country Club on Friday.

Cory Rodgers earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 36 for Southwestern.

Dunkirk’s low shooter was Robert Kokocinski with 45.

CVCS GOLFERS WIN TWO

CASSADAGA -Cassadaga Valley hosted Forestville (0-6, 1-7) and Silver Creek (1-4, 1-6) in a Division 2 match at Cassadaga Country Club and the Cougars (5-2) came away with two team victories.

Their first win came against the Black Knights, 32-22 and the second was a 32-23 win over Forestville.

Cassadaga Valley’s Anthony Miller and Dan Weimer from Silver Creek tied for medalist honors with 1-over-par 37s.

Logan Youngberg fired a 46 for the Hornets.

JHS DROPS A PAIR

OLEAN – Olean (5-1, 10-2) picked up a pair of wins as Jamestown (4-3, 4-5) and Cuba-Rushford visited Bartlett Country Club for a Division 1 match.

The Huskies downed the Red Raiders, 31-24, and topped Cuba-Rushford, 30-25. Jamestown also fell to Cuba-Rushford, 28-27.

The medalist for the day was Cuba-Rushford’s Caleb Edwards, who shot a 3-over-par 39.

Jamestown’s top shooters were Collin Rodgers and Dylan Glatz, who fired 44s.

Liam McNamee led the Huskies with 44.
