Area Police Reports

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPT.

Syvel L. Fields, 18, was charged at 12:33 a.m. on Thursday with second-degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers responded to Fulton Street for a report of a burglary in progress. Police said Fields unlawfully entered a residence through a window using a ladder. Fields refused to leave the residence and was later take into custody without incident. Fields was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

LITTLE VALLEY – Joshua A. Calkins, 27, of Crawford Street, at 2 p.m. on April 25 was taken into custody on a bench warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court. Calkins was turned over to police.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

NORTH HARMONY – Kassandra Prunty, 25, of Jamestown, on Wednesday was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers were dispatched to the Ashville General Store to investigate a complaint of an individual smoking marijuana in the parking lot. Prunty was found to be in possession of 2 grams of marijuana and was issued appearance tickets. She will be in North Harmony Court at a later date.
