Trees, Shrubs To Be Sold

The Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District has over-stocked during its recent tree and shrub sale.

The district will offer tree and shrub seedlings for sale to the general public at the Frank W. Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5.

Varieties offered are:


Scotch Pine, Austrian Pine, White Pine, Engelman Spruce, Blue Spruce, White Spruce, Norway Spruce, Black Hills Spruce, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, White Cedar, European Larch and Hemlock.


White, Red, and Sawtooth Oak, White Birch, Mt. Ash, Sassafras, Butternut, Sugar Maple, Chinese Chestnut, American Elm, Pin Oak, Red Maple and Hybrid Poplar.


Cranberry, Button Bush, Common Lilac, Forsythia, Rose of Sharon, Red Osier Dogwood.


Daylilies, Oriental Lilies, Bleeding Heart, Iris Blue King and Snow Queen, Baby’s Breath, Coreopsis Rose, Foxglove, Helenium, Mars Midgit,


Myrtle, English Ivy, Wisteria.


Bluebird Houses, Bat Houses, Owl/Kestrel, Wood Duck, Platform and Butterfly Houses.
