Cemetery Group To Meet May 4

The annual Fentonville Cemetery Association lot owners will meet at 1 p.m. on May 4 in the home of Mary L. Himes, 25 Cherry St., Frewsburg. All lot owners and persons interested in the cemetery are welcome to attend.

Lions Club To Host Dinner Today

FREWSBURG – The annual Frewsburg Lions Club Spaghetti Dinner will be held today from 5-7 p.m. at the Frewsburg fire hall No. 2. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-10 and free for children under 5. This fundraiser is to support the blind and helping hand fund that benefits those in need.

Church To Host Dinner Today

MAYVILLE – The Mayville United Methodist Church Camp Scholarship Committee will host a beef-on-weck and pulled pork dinner today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The menu will include choice of sandwich (salted or unsalted roll), tossed salad, parsley red potatoes, glazed baby carrots, cupcake and beverage. Take-out dinners will be available. The committee is offering local deliveries within the village limits; call 753-7532 for delivery. The church is located at 81 South Erie St. and is handicapped accessible. The camp scholarships provide financial assistance to children who attend Christian-related camps throughout the summer.

Moose Lodge Kitchen Opens

The Jamestown Moose Lodge 1681 announces its kitchen is now open. The kitchen is open Sunday, 3-8 p.m.; Monday, 5-9 p.m.; Wednesday, 6-9 p.m.; Friday, 4:30-9 p.m.; and Saturday 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Take-out orders are available. The Jamestown Moose Lodge 1681 also has bingo every Sunday from 5-8 p.m. with a $500 progressive prize. There is bar bingo every Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., as well as Women of the Moose bingo every Frida night beginning at 7 p.m. Open to members and qualified guests.

Bows Sale Runs Through May 20

SHERMAN – The Rural Center in Sherman is holding an Honor Your Troop bow sale now until May 20. For $3 a yellow bow can be purchased to be put on display at the Yorker Museum in Sherman beginning Memorial Day. The troop’s name and rank will be included on the bow. Cemetery Group To Hold Cleanup

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Board of Trustees of the Sinclairville Evergreen Cemetery met on April 8 to review bids for seasonal lawn care. A successful bid was received and the contract awarded. Spring clean-up days are scheduled for Saturday and May 4. All winter decorations should be removed prior to those dates.

Bike Blessing

Set For Today

The local chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association will hold a bike blessing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, hosted by Jamestown Harley-Davidson, 1951 E. Main St., Falconer.
