Southwestern Golfers Top Falconer

LAKEWOOD – Southwestern played host to Falconer and the Trojans (3-0) came away with a 37-17 victory in Division 1 golf in a match played at Maplehurst Country Club.

Medalist honors went to Chad VanEvery, who shot a 1-over-par 36.

Sean Nord paced the Golden Falcons (1-3) with 42.

BUSTI – It was a close battle between Chautauqua Lake and Frewsburg (3-1, 3-2) in Division 2 at South Hills Country Club and Chautauqua Lake (3-1, 3-1) pulled out a 27-25 victory on the par 36 course.

Medalist honors were shared by Frewsburg’s Nick Munella and Chautauqua Lake’s Cory Lattimer each had 41s.

LOCKWOOD LEADS MGHS

ELLICOTTVILLE – Sparked by Wil Lockwood’s 7-over-par 41, Maple Grove (2-0, 5-2) won three golf matches over previously-undefeated Randolph (7-1), 33-22, Portville, 39-15, and Elliottville, 39-15 at the Holiday Valley Resort on Thursday.

Ellicottville edged Portville, 29-28, in another match.

Andy Farnham drilled a 43 to assist Lockwood for Maple Grove.

Nolan Ditcher of Randolph was the medalist with a 3-over-par 37 while teammate Adam Ditcher drilled a 44.
