Raiders Post Softball Victory

GOWANDA – Jessica Pace collected four hits and drove in three runs to lead the Jamestown Lady Red Raiders to an 18-5 victory over Gowanda.

Kaytlin Haines (double) added three hits and drove in two runs, while teammate Hannah Pollino checked in with three hits (double) and three RBIs.

McKenzie Martin tossed a nine-hitter to help Jamestown even its record at 2-2.



FREWSBURG – Shawana Raymond had a superb performance for Frewsburg.

Raymond stroked five hits, including a double, while scoring seven times as the Bears prevailed over Salamanca with ease.

Sam Mott, Alanna Blanchard and Kaitlyn Blanchard hurled a two-hitter in the win with Mott throwing three innings, Alanna Blanchard an inning and Kaitlyn Blanchard the final three in the shutout.

Reyanne Strong drilled a grand-slam home run and Emily Johnson drilled two hits with a solo home run in the 27-hit attack.

Ashley Charlese Stants had two hits with a double for Salamanca.



FRANKLINVILLE – Behind the pitching of Mackenzie Ellis and the hitting of Brianne Davis and Lauren Nickerson, Maple Grove defeated Franklinville, 7-3.

Ellis tossed a seven-hitter, fanning five and walking three, while Davis had three hits and Nickerson two.

Nickerson drilled a solo home run in the fifth inning and added a double while scoring three times. Davis contributed three singles.

Meghan McKane tripled among three hits and Ally Haskell fired a seven-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks in the loss.


CLYMER – Sam Treveline had three hits, all doubles, and drove in three runs as the Eagles prevailed over Clymer, 20-3.

Also with three hits, including a double, for Ripley were Sam Judd and Chanda Mellors. Two hits and two RBIs went to Melanie McCutcheon. One of McCutcheon’s hits was a triple.

Carly McAfoose drilled two hits, including a triple, for Clymer.
