Star-Studded Lineup

SALAMANCA – Comedy, country, rock and more are coming to Western New York this summer.

The Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel has announced its Summer Rush Concert Series, and the lineup includes: B.B. King, Paul Reiser, Jeff Dunham, Alabama, Howie Mandel and Huey Lewis and the News.

According to Jim Wise, senior vice president of marketing for Seneca Casinos, area residents have a power-packed lineup for the Summer Rush celebration.

“From June’s presentation of blues legend B.B. King, to July’s huge shows with comedian Jeff Dunham and country icons Alabama, to August laughs with Howie Mandel or rock ‘n’ roll hit machine Huey Lewis and the News – we have something for everyone,” said Wise.

“The series packs some serious heat for entertainment lovers,” added Tony Astran, publicity manager for Seneca Gaming Corporation. “Summer Rush at Seneca Casinos includes some of the world’s very best entertainers. The series kicks off with arguably the world’s premier blues musician, B.B. King, on Saturday, June 8.”

June’s entertainment lineup continues the following weekend with comedian Paul Reiser from the TV sitcom “Mad About You” on Saturday, June 22. More laughs will follow on Friday, July 12, when Jeff Dunham takes the stage at Seneca Allegany Casino.

“Jeff Dunham, one of the America’s most successful comedians, displays his hilarious ventriloquism routine with a host of characters such as Walter, Peanut, Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Jose Jalapeno on a Stick as part of his ‘Disorderly Conduct’ tour,” said Astran.

Live music will continue on Saturday, July 27, when the highly successful country group Alabama performs as part of its “Celebrating 40 Years” tour. Then more comedy will appear at Seneca Allegany Casino when Howie Mandel, one of the judges on “America’s Got Talent,” delivers an evening of laughs on Friday, Aug. 16. And, the final performance of the season that Seneca Allegany Casino has announced is slated for Saturday, Aug. 31. The 1980s pop-rock group Huey Lewis and the News will take the stage for its “‘Sports’ 30th Anniversary Tour.”

According to Astran, there’s more to come as Summer Rush acts will be announced in the near future.

Tickets for all shows are available at Seneca Casino box offices, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
