Rod And Gun Club To Host Benefit Dinner
ELLINGTON – The Ellington Rod & Gun Club will be the site for a spaghetti dinner Sunday between 2 and 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Jeff and Lori Miller, local residents.
Jeff Miller was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and while coping with that diagnosis, suffered a fall down some stairs which left him paraplegic, paralyzed from the waist down.
“Jeff and Lori are wonderful people who are experiencing a terrible time in their lives,” said Debbie Rhinehart, one of the event’s organizers. “We just want to reach out to the community to help them through this.”
The cost for the dinner will be $8 for adults, $ 5 for children 12 and under.
Among the events for the day will be a 50/50 giveaway and a basket giveaway, with articles donated from area business and artisans.
The public is invited to attend the event.
