Woodfield Leads McDonald’s Senior Tour
CASSADAGA -The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour payed a visit to Cassadaga Country Club on Monday and using the modified Stableford scoring system, Dick Woodfield topped Flight A with plus 1 and also had an 82 for low gross honors.
Randy Carlson was second with a plus 2.
In Flight B, Doug Spoto placed first with zero and posted an 87 for the low gross while Bill Kestler took second with minus 2 and Ken Aldrich took third with minus 3.
Bill Pienta won Flight C with plus 1, Bill Davenport finished second with minus 2 and Jim Watt was third with minus 3. Pienta and Davenport tied for low gross honors with 92s.
John Depew was the winner of Flight D, carding a plus 6 while Lee Johnson was second with plus 5 and Jim Fincher and Jim Wahlberg tied for third with plus 3s and each shot 94s to share the low gross.
In Flight E, Dick Ingraham shot plus 2 for first place, Nick Pannes placed second with plus 1 and Dave Nichols shot minus 2 for third. Pannes also had 107 for low gross.
Don Garfield and Tom Harte each carded plus 2s to tie for first place in Flight F and Tom McConnon followed with minus 1. Garfield took low gross honors with 110.
The McDonald’s Tour moves to Corry Country Club and Chautauqua Point Golf Course on Monday at 9 a.m.
