Maple Grove Cruises In Division 3

BEMUS POINT -Matt Roach and Josh Ahlstrom shared a shutout for Maple Grove over Forestville in Division 3 baseball on Tuesday.

Roach picked up the first varsity win by going four innings, allowing three hits, striking out five walking nobody while Ahlstrom went the final three innings and gave up a hit, striking out five and walking none as the Red Dragons (4-0, 4-5) blanked Forestville (1-2, 1-6), 16-0.

Since returning from Myrtle Beach, the Red Dragons have given up just a run and nine hits in league games.

The first inning settled the issue with seven runs crossing the plate. Jonah Tanner started it off with a double and capped it with a three-run triple for Maple Grove.

Maple Grove scored every inning but the third inning and delivered 13 hits.

Collin Stack drilled a two-run single in the first and a two-run home run in the sixth en route to three hits. Jeff Tampe contributed three hits and three RBIs.

For Forestville, Adam Pleva had two hits and Mike Priest doubled.
