CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA – Brandon L. Hogue, 20, of Erie Street, Mayville was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and unlawful imprisonment. Deputies on April 19 at 1 p.m. responded to a disturbance on Erie Street in Mayville. Deputies learned Hogue allegedly assaulted a victim with a sword. He was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Patrick A. Purpera, 58, of Broadhead Avenue, Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. Purpera was taken into custody on a warrant following an incident on April 14 in which he allegedly stole $55.82 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart on Fairmount Avenue. Purpera will be in court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

FREDONIA – Colton Farham, 20, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Tuesday stopped a vehicle on Route 5 in Dunkirk at 2:35 a.m. for speeding and failure to dim headlights. Farham was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol content of .11 percent. He will be back in court at a later date.
