Area Police Reports

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jarrelle D. Sparks, 20, was charged with three counts of second-degree menacing. Officers on Saturday at 1:55 a.m. responded to Willard Street for a report of a fight. According to a police report, Sparks allegedly displayed and threatened a knife to three victims. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER – Kevin C. Pfeiffer, 44, of Townline Road, Lancaster, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. The charges stem from an incident where Pfeiffer allegedly called and threatened an Irving resident after being warned to cease all contact. Pfeiffer will be in court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

SHERMAN – Michael S. Marcinko, 59, was charged with driving while intoxicated, illegal parking and possession of marijuana. Troopers on Saturday stopped Marcinko around 1 a.m. for parking in the southbound driving lane on Kendrick Street. Troopers found him to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests. Marcinko also was found to be in possession of a baggie with less than 25 grams of marijuana in his pocket. He will be in Sherman Court at a later date.

POLAND – Stanley D. Funcell, 60, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Saturday stopped a vehicle on Route 394 for not using a turn signal. Funcell was found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests. He was processed at police barracks and submitted a blood alcohol content of .15 percent. He will be in Poland Court at a later date.

POLAND – Carole L. Johnson, 47, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Sunday observed a vehicle turn without using a turn signal. Johnson was found to be intoxicated. She was processed and submitted a blood alcohol content of .09 percent. She will be in Poland Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN – David Jasczc, 61, of Buffalo Street, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Jasczc for moving from a lane unsafely in the town of Ellicott. He was taken into custody after failing sobriety tests and provided a blood alcohol content of .18 percent. Jasczc was released with traffic tickets and will be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHERRY CREEK – Michael Rodgers, 39, of Boutwell Hill, for driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Friday stopped Rodgers on Center Street for a loud exhaust. He was found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests and was transported to police barracks where he provided a blood alcohol content of .12 percent. Rodgers will be back in Cherry Creek Court at a later date.
