Joyce E. Skinner

FREWSBURG – Joyce E. Skinner, 59, of Wheeler Hill Road, died Wednesday, (April 17, 2013) at her home.

She was born Jan. 14, 1954, in Jamestown, the daughter of Ira and Norma Lindahl Walker.

She was employed in the office at Titanx.

Joyce loved being with her husband, who was also her best friend. They were inseparable.

Joyce and Gordon Skinner were married on Oct. 12, 1974, and died together at their home. She enjoyed her dog Hannah, playing golf, and helping her friends and neighbors.

Besides her mother, Norma, and stepfather, Richard Roos of Jamestown, Joyce is survived by a brother, James (Lori) Walker of Falconer; and two nieces: Tina Lyon of Jamestown and Julie Walker of Falconer; two great-nieces: Heather (Dan) Gould and Addison Walker; two great-nephews: Hunter Lyon and Cameron Gould; and six stepsiblings: Pamela (Douglas) Merril, Richard (Linda) Roos, Debby (Gary) Schauman, Susan Donnelly, Heidi (Timothy) Stage, and Hillary (Dennis) Rhodes.

She was predeceased by her father.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Roy Ferguson and Pastor

Cameron Lienhart will officiate.

Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery, Kennedy.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
