Gordon H. Skinner

FREWSBURG – Gordon H. Skinner, 66, of Wheeler Hill Road, died Wednesday (April 17, 2013) at his home.

He was born May 5, 1946, in Jamestown, the son of Gordon and Geraldine Wilson Skinner.

He was a 1964 graduate of Frewsburg High School and was in the US Marine Corps., serving in Vietnam.

He had been employed for many years at Quality Markets and later had owned and operated a dairy farm.

Gordie loved being with his wife, who was also his

best friend. They were inseparable.

Gordon and Joyce Skinner were married on Oct. 12, 1974, and died together at their home. He enjoyed his dog Hannah, playing golf, and helping his friends and neighbors.

Gordon is survived by two nephews: Brian and Nathan Case; a great-nephew, Collin Case; brother-in-law, Sigurd Case; his best friend, Dave Hamilton; and several cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Case.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Roy Ferguson and Pastor Cameron Lienhart will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
