County Home To Join Relay For Life

DUNKIRK – Amy Atwell, nurse practitioner for Evercare a division of United Healthcare, is joining forces with the Chautauqua County Home residents, residents’ families, and staff to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, which is scheduled for June 8.

During April, teams comprised of CCH employees and residents will compete against each other to raise the most money for the cause. There are a series of fundraising events scheduled at the County Home including a penny drive, bake sale, pizza luncheon, and Chinese auction. Volunteers and donations are needed for each of these events and individuals interested in helping with these efforts can contact the Activities Department at 366-6400.

The Chautauqua County Home, located on Temple Road in Dunkirk, is a 216-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in rehabilitation and long-term health care. The residents and staff welcome community participation in events and many volunteering opportunities are available. Individuals interested in volunteering should contact the Activities Department at 366-6400.
