City Woman Faces Larceny Charges
LAKEWOOD – A Jamestown woman is facing two counts of petit larceny stemming from incidents at the Lakewood Wal-Mart.
Lakewood-Busti police on Monday were notified around 10 p.m. for a possible theft at the Fairmount Avenue store. According to a police report, Tiffany M. Walsh, 21, was observed taking items from Wal-Mart and exiting the store without paying.
Walsh was entering a vehicle in the parking lot when she was stopped by Lakewood-Busti police. The Jamestown resident was charged with petit larceny in the incident.
While being interviewed, police said Walsh admitted to going to Wal-Mart on Monday around 2:45 p.m. and taking items from the store without paying. Walsh allegedly then returned to the store to return the item for a gift card.
Police charged Walsh with another count of petit larceny. She was issued appearance tickets and will be in court at a later date.
