Historical Society To Hold Dinner Meeting
The Harmony Historical Society, Open Meadows Road, Blockville, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for a tureen style dinner.
Members attending should take a dish to pass and their table service.
Randy Anderson, Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame president, will speak on the history of the organization which was formed to honor Chautauqua County sports celebrities. The public is welcome to attend.
Eight members met April 6 for the first business meeting of the year. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read.
Discussion was on the fall festival, and members were asked to submit their favorite recipes for a new cookbook. They were also able to view “Autumn Memories,” a new quilt which will be given away.
The group also met for a Christmas dinner on Dec. 4, with 21 members and three guests attending. Following dinner, a musical ensemble, “Picks and Hammers,” performed.
Dinner meetings are held at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month, followed by a program at 7 p.m.
