Patricia E. “Pat” or “Pita” King

DEWITTVILLE – Patricia E. “Pat” or “Pita” King, 71, of 7178 Beech Hill Road, Dewittville, died Tuesday (April 9, 2013), in St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pa.

She was born April 2, 1942, in Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of the late Jack and Irene Sauner.

Pat had been a secretary for the Chautauqua County district attorney in Mayville for 35 years.

She belonged to the First Baptist Church in Mayville, and the Mayville American Legion Auxiliary.

Pat loved riding in her husband’s truck hauling cattle and traveling. She also enjoyed fishing and nature walks.

She is survived by her husband, Gerry D. King, whom she married Nov. 11, 1990, in Mayville; four sons: Tod (Cinnamon) Vincent of Mayville, Kurt (Heather) Vincent of Tulsa, Okla., Robert King and Timothy King, both of Tampa, Fla.; and two granddaughters: Ashley Vincent and Malibu Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Irene Sauner; her mother and father-in-law, Claud and Gladys (Skip) King; two sisters-in-law, Pat Thomas and Margie Terry; and one brother-in-law, Bill Tressler.

The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. The Rev. Norman Burdick will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 4-6 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral in the funeral home.
