Cemetery Group Plans Meeting

CHANDLERS VALLEY, Pa. – The Chandlers Valley Cemetery Association will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chandlers Valley Community Center Building.

JPS Board Sets Agenda

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, the board will meet at 6 p.m. and is expected to move into executive session for “matters pertaining to the employment of a particular person.” They will return to regular session to adjourn the meeting. The board will then meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at 197 Martin Road. Items on the agenda include discussion of the 2012-13 budget and approval of superintendent search committees. The public is welcome to attend.

Speaker Series To Resume

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series continues on Tuesday. The evening will feature Walter Gunther, corrections officer, giving a talk about the history of the office of the sheriff, from the early days of English history until today in Chautauqua County. The event will be held at the historical society on Alburtus Avenue in Bemus Point beginning at 7 p.m.

Salamanca IDA Board To Gather

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca Industrial Development Agency will hold its monthly board meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the large boardroom at City Hall, 225 Wildwood Ave., Salamanca.

Support Group Plans Dinner

The Breast Cancer Support Group will meet Wednesday, at Friendly’s. Dinner is at 6 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Karl Sisson. Sisson, WCA Hospital director of development, will share about the opening of WCA Hospital’s new Emergency Department, highlight upcoming breast cancer-related events, including Pink the Rink with the Jamestown Ironmen during the playoffs, the Hits For A Cure Little League baseball game in Gerry on Sunday, June 9, Pink the Park with the Jamestown Jammers on Saturday, June 29, at Diethrick Park, and the LINKS Pink Walk on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Chautauqua Mall, as well as discuss the WCA Foundation, including the LINKS Charity Cancer Care Fund.

RV?Show To Begin Thursday

SALAMANCA – The second annual Western New York and Pennsylvania RV Show will open at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11 and continue until 5 p.m. Sunday, April 14. More than 150 RVs will be on display. Hours for the show are Thursday from 1-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit
