CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ELLICOTT – Kyle D. Elderkin, 20, of Frewsburg, was charged at 11:44 p.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, uninspected motor vehicle and unsafe tires. Sheriff’s patrol observed a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 86 in the westbound lanes in the town of Ellicott. Deputies stopped to check the status of the vehicle. Following investigation, Elderkin was identified as the operator of the vehicle. He was taken into custody and charged, released with appearance tickets and will appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

HANOVER – Katherine T. Mullis, 23, of Wood Forest Drive, Rock Hill, S. C., was charged at 2:48 a.m. on Friday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and failure to stop at a steady red light. Deputies stopped a vehicle in Hanover for multiple traffic violations. Upon further investigation, Mullis, the operator of the vehicle, was allegedly found to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody and later released with uniform traffic tickets. She will appear in the town of Hanover Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jesse Huddleston, 31, of Jamestown, was charged at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with petit larceny. The Jamestown Police Department was dispatched to Walgreens, 10 Prospect St., for a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the store manager who stated that Huddleston allegedly left the store without paying for an item. Huddleston was charged, transported to the city jail without further incident and is being held pending bail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD – Ralph W. Wallace, 18, of 26 Harris Ave., Jamestown, was charged at 12:49 a.m. on Friday on East Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, with unlawful possession of marijuana. Wallace was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic infraction and was found to be in possession of marijuana in a jar under his seat. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in court on a later date.

LAKEWOOD – Blaine M. Wescott, 19, of Kipp Street, Jamestown, was charged at 3:56 p.m. on Thursday with shoplifting. Police received a call about a shoplifting at Wal-Mart. When officers arrived, Wescott was detained by Wal-Mart loss prevention. Wescott had allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $60 of merchandise. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Busti court at a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A 17-year old male student was charged at 3:10 p.m. on March 27 at Eisenhower High School. The incident occurred as the student became involved in a fight with another student outside the parking lot. The 17-year old will answer to the charge before Magistrate Laura Bauer.

FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A known juvenile white male, age 15, of Sugar Grove, was charged at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Eisenhower High School, with harassment. The 15-year old subjected a 14-year-old male juvenile of Russell, to physical contact during school hours, punching him in the shoulder/rib area with a closed fist two times. Charges were filed in the Warren office of Magistrate Laura Bauer.
