Kathryn A. Peterson “Nana Kay” died peacefully March 31, 2013, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., surrounded by family on Easter Sunday, of pneumonia complicated by Alzheimer’s disease.

Kathryn was born in Jamestown, N.Y., to Oscar and Signe Anderson, formerly of 175 McKinley Ave.

She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1948, Augustana Nursing School in Chicago as a registered nurse 1951, and attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Teaneck, N.J.

She married James Peterson in 1955, and together they had three children. Kathryn is survived by her husband, James; children: Ann, David (Nguyet) and Ben (Maria); grandchildren: Brendan, Caitlin and Cameron Leahy, Alex and Cole Peterson; sister, Lois (Clinton) Lindseth of San Jose, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Virginia (Brian) Pillsbury of Hudson, Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Roberts St., West, St. Paul, Minn.
