Fracking Discussion Was Biased

To the Readers’ Forum:

I attended the ”Fracking in N.Y.S.” meeting held in the library in Jamestown on Thursday, March 21. Four speakers were invited to give their point of view on fracking, with questions from those attending taken afterwords.

All of the speakers were against fracking, often interspersing their personal opinions along with the information they presented. Even the EPA and the NYSDEC were not immune from criticism at this meeting.

When questions were taken from the audience, one person stood up and presented a different point of view and was laughed at by some in the audience.

As I was listening to those who were laughing, I couldn’t help but remember what the Bible said: ”For although they know God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

”They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator – who is forever praised.” Romans 1:22 and 25 NIV

This is where some in the environmental movement are at today. Their God is the earth.
