ADAMS – Marine Corps Pvt. Ryan A. Adams, the son of Amy L. Fitzpatrick of Falconer and Jonathan J. Adams of Erie, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, S.C. He is a 2007 graduate of Falconer Central High School.

BARRETT – Shane Barrett, of Jamestown, serving with the 222nd Military Police company, was promoted to the rank of specialist.

BEVERLY – Dandy Beverly, of Cattaraugus, serving with Company A (Engineer), 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, was promoted to the rank of private.

CARRION – Army National Guard Pvt. Edwin W. Carrion, the son of Michelle Rosales of Dunkirk, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2012 graduate of Dunkirk Senior High School.

CUMMINGS – Robert A. Cummings, the son of Bruce and Terry Cummings of Youngsville, was promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He is a noncommissioned officer-in-charge of curriculum development assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C.

ECKSTROM – Navy Fireman Nicholas J. Eckstrom, a 2010 graduate of Brocton Central High School, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

GILLESPIE – Kathi Gillespie, of Russell, serving with Company A., 642nd Support Battalion, was promoted to the rank of captain.

KEITH – Air Force Airman Jeffery R. Keith, the son of Steven Keith of Clymer, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

LINCOLN – Jacob Lincoln, of Sinclairville, serving with the 222nd Military Police Company, was promoted to the rank of private first class.

LOOMIS – Marine Corps Pvt. Matthew R. Loomis, a 2012 graduate of Falconer Central School, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is the son of Terri and Rex K. Loomis of Jamestown.

LUTZ – Army Spec. Adam T. Lutz, the son of Sharon Lutz and Steven Lutz, both of Gowanda, returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a 2009 graduate of Gowanda High School.

MEABON – Marine Corps Pvt. Colter G. Meabon, the son of Lynn M. Meabon of Falconer, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is a 2008 graduate of Falconer Central High School.

NELSON – Air force Reserve Airman Justin L. Nelson, a 2012 graduate of Clymer Central School, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Pamela White of Clymer.

PARKHURST – Marine Corps Pvt. Jeremy M. Parkhurst, the son of Jennifer Parkhurst of Randolph and Timothy Parkhurst of Jamestown, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is a 2012 graduate of Randolph Central School.

ROBINSON – Navy Lt. Matthew A. Robinson, the son of Barbara J. and Richard G. Robinson of Jamestown, was promoted to his currant rank while serving at Naval Health Care New England, Newport, R.I. He is a 1997 graduate of Jamestown High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004 from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill. and a Master of Business Administration from Touro University International, Cypress, Calif. in 2008.

SCHOLENO – Marine Corps Pvt. Anthony M. Scholeno, the son of Melinda and Scott Scholeno of Jamestown, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris, Island, S.C. He is a 2010 graduate of Frewsburg Central High School.

SKINNER – Air Force Airman 1st Class Nathaniel A. Skinner graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antoni, Texas. The son of Allyn and Laurie Skinner of Brocton, he is a 2005 graduate of Brocton Central School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the State College at Fredonia in 2009.

SLUBERSKI – Marine Corps Pfc. Raymond D. Sluberski, the son of Lisa A. W. Sluberski of Sugar Grove and David Sluberski of Rush, N.Y., graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Dept, Parris Island, S.C.

WASIELA – Air Force Reserve Airman Jaime L. Wasiela, a 2012 graduate of Gowanda High School, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Kelly Wasiela of Irving and Jim Wasiela of Cattaraugus.

WYANT – Army Pvt. Lee I. Wyant, a 2010 graduate of Allegany-Limestone High School, returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring freedom. He is the son of Rosemarie Friedman of Allegany.
