On Tuesday, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hold a planning meeting to announce and plan their participation in the Great Hudson Valley Pedal, a 200-mile bike ride that starts in Albany that continues south through the historic Hudson Valley. On Saturday, April 6, the AOC will hike a section of the North Country Trail. Participants will meet at the NCT trailhead on Route 59 in Ludlow, 0.9 of a mile east of Wildcat Park, at 2 p.m. From there they will hike across the plateau then down Gibbs Hill and end up at Bob’s Trading Post on Route 321 for pizza. Denise Rutkowski and Linda Casamento will host the Marco Polo Auxiliary meeting on Wednesday. Ruth Boscia will bring the pink elephant gift. Sylvia Bonaventure, Rita Ellis and Mary Racitano hosted a supper prior to a recent meeting. Frances Lunetta, secretary, read minutes, and Sandy Cusimano, the treasurer’s report. Discussion was on discontinuing monthly bake sales. Celebrating birthdays were Josephine Marcella, Fran Lunetta, Bonaventure, Josephine Conti and Dorothy Galati. The program was a parade of St. Patrick’s Day hats and Easter bonnets.
Historical Society To Meet
RANDOLPH – The Randolph Historical Society will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the municipal building. The speaker for the evening will be Jeff Mondola, who will be presenting a program on the Randolph Children’s Home/New Directions. The public is invited to attend.
SINCLAIRVILLE – The annual Valley Historical Society Sugaring Party at the Wayside South Stockton Chapel will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. All meetings of the Valley Historical Society begin at 7 p.m. People are asked to bring a bowl and a spoon to stir warm maple syrup until it becomes sugar. New members and visitors are welcome.
Museum Trip Signup Extended
The date has been extended to April 5 to sign up for a trip to the Warther Museum in Dover, Ohio. Any senior citizen is eligible to attend. AARP Group To Meet Wednesday
SALAMANCA – The regular monthly meeting of the Salamanca AARP Chapter 844 will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Salamanca Area Senior Center, 18 Main St., Salamanca. Mary George of the Olean Area Transit System will be the guest speaker. Members are reminded to continue to support the chapter’s community service projects.
