CATTARAUGUS COUNTY

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

SALAMANCA – Amber E. Bartlett, 24, of 38 Fawn Ave., Salamanca, was charged at 3:35 p.m. Thursday with two counts of misuse of food stamps, two counts of petit larceny and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Bartlett was accused of possessing food stamp benefit cards that belonged to two different inmates in the Cattaraugus County Jail and also of using $5.26 of the food stamps in Olean on Oct. 12 and $305.39 from Sept. 15 to 18, knowing she had no right to do so either time. She will be in Olean City Court later.

OLEAN – Heather L. Ciancio, 26, of 616 Garden Ave., Olean, was charged at 11:20 a.m. Thursday with misuse of food stamps, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Ciancio is accused of possessing a benefit card that belonged to an inmate in the Cattaraugus County Jail and of using $83.91 of the food stamps in the city of Salamanca from Oct. 8 and Oct. 9, knowing she had no right to do so. She will be in Salamanca City Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

POMFRET – Marisol Mendez, 39, and Devlin J. Smith, 21, both of 5361 Route 5, Pomfret, were charged at 2:25 a.m. Friday, with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment after deputies were dispatched to a reported physical altercation. They will be in court later.

HANOVER – Brian E. Boedo, 28, of Angell Road, Silver Creek, was charged at 2:35 a.m. Friday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speeding. Deputies pulled a vehicle over on Dennison Road in Hanover for speeding. Upon further investigation, Boedo was charged. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

A 17-year-old girl was charged at 12:30 a.m. Friday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, unsafe lane change and driving out of class. Officers on a routine patrol saw a vehicle strike a curb as it traveled east on West Fifth Street. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver identified as a 17-year-old female. She was placed under arrest and taken to the City Jail where she was held on bail, pending arraignment.

Daryl K. Clifton, 22, and Tamika D. Clifton, both of Jamestown, were charged at 2:37 p.m. Thursday; Daryl Clifton with aggravated family offense on a previous conviction for a domestic incident related charge and Clifton with second-degree menacing. Both were also charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Jamestown police officers were dispatched to a Jamestown residence for a reported domestic dispute. What began as a verbal argument between Darryl Clifton and Tamiko Clifton resulted in Clifton obtained a knife and threatened to harm Daryl Clifton. Both were taken to the city jail pending arraignment.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT

POLICE DEPARTMENT

Joshua A. Stenstrom, 27, of Jamestown, was charged on Wednesday with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief after Ellicott police were dispatched to investigate a domestic incident at an address on Route 60. Upon investigation, it was found Joshua Stenstrom allegedly assaulted his wife at their residence. Stenstrom was arraigned in Kiantone Town Court and released on bail.
