No One Injured After Friday Morning Fire On Prather Ave.

No one was reported injured after a morning fire on Prather Avenue.

The Jamestown Fire Department was called to the scene of an apartment fire at 151 Prather Ave. at 7:53 a.m. Friday. Matt Russo, Jamestown Fire Department battalion chief, said the fire occurred in a two-apartment complex.

When the fire department arrived, crews were told all occupants were out of the building, Russo said. He also said there were no reported injuries. He said the fire department was able to get the fire knocked down quickly after arriving on the scene.

Russo said the fire investigator’s statement read the fire started in the first floor apartment near a gas heater. It did not state the gas heater was the cause of the fire. Russo said the fire is still under investigation.
