Library Board To Meet Monday

Senior Report To Host Don Pituch
“Senior Report with Reed Powers” will have Don Pituch as the guest Saturday. Pituch, an avid sportsman, will discuss fishing. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. Saturday. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions, comments or a shout-out. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of “Senior Report,” has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
Choir To Perform Annual Cantata
The Pine Valley Community Choir will present its annual cantata, ”Evidence of Grace,” at 7:30 p.m. today in the Pine Valley Central High School Auditorium. A free-will offering will be taken.
Ashville Egg Hunt Rescheduled
ASHVILLE – The Easter egg hunt scheduled for Saturday at the Llama Club in Ashville has been rescheduled for April 13 at 10 a.m. at the same location.
Garden Talks Begin Tuesday
LAKEWOOD – Spring Garden Talks will be held at the Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood, select Tuesdays in April from 6-7 p.m. The talks will be led by Cheryl Wahlstrom, Master Gardener. Master Gardeners is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension. “Gardening 101,” featuring tips and techniques for successful gardening, will take place Tuesday. “Eco-Friendly Gardening,” which will concern composting, pest management and native plants, will be held April 9. “Inviting Nature Into Your Garden,” which will discuss encouraging birds, butterflies and beneficial insects to visit your garden, will take place April 16. “Healthy Landscaping, Healthy Waters,” which will be led by Jane Conroe, conservationist for Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy, will be held April 23 and will deal with how healthy gardens promote clean water.
Sugaring Party Set For Tuesday
SINCLAIRVILLE -The Valley Historical Society will meet for the annual maple sugaring party at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, in the South Stockton Wayside Chapel. Members should take a dish of food to pass and their table service. Dues may be paid for the year.
