TitanX Seeks Items For Event
TitanX, a producer of medium- and heavy-duty diesel engine cooling solutions, officials are asking for assistance from the public to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. Andy Johnson, TitanX human resources director, said for an open house for employees that will be occurring later this spring, TitanX officials would like former employees who have old artifacts from the business to loan them or donate them to be on display for the open house. Johnson said besides being known as TitanX, the business has also been Valeo and Blackstone Corporation. Church Choirs To Perform Sunday
ASHVILLE – The Magnolia, North Harmony and Open Meadows United Methodist Church choirs will perform the Easter cantata “Alleluia, Christ Is Risen!” for the 7 a.m. Easter Sunday sunrise service in the Open Meadows Church, Open Meadows Road, Ashville. Soloists will be Patty Zdunski and Juanita Wallace Jackson. Breakfast will follow the service. The public is invited to attend.
Egg Hunt Location Change
Due to inclement weather, the annual Eastside Fellowship Easter Egg Hunt will be held in the last JCC parking lot on Curtis Street by the tennis courts on Saturday at 10 a.m. Candy will be distributed.
Registration Due By Monday
Registration for the Salvation Army’s 5K Anew Run and Walk is due by Monday. Pre-registration is $20, and only pre-registered participants will be guaranteed a T-shirt. The run and walk will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, with registration from 7:30-9 a.m. in the Salvation Army gym. Awards will be given for the first man and woman walkers in all age groups; first, second and third prizes will be given to the top male and female runners in the following age groups: 14 and under, ages 15 to 19, ages 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and ages 60 and over. A prize will also be given to the person raising the most money through pledges. Proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army Anew Center, which offers comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault in Chautauqua County. Passover Seder Dinner Is Saturday
FREWSBURG – On Saturday at 7 p.m., the First Baptist Church of Frewsburg, located at 17 E. Main St., will be having a demonstration of a Passover Seder dinner and reflecting on its meaning in regards to the Easter season. Egg Hunt Set For Saturday
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Fire Department will host its second annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Signup begins at 1 p.m. followed by the hunt at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for each age divisions. Food and a visit with the Easter Bunny will also be featured.
