Easter Fest Set For Saturday

The Cherry Creek/Leon UMC Kids Easter Fest will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will feature a coloring contest, crafts, cookie decorating, an Easter egg hunt and refreshments. A sunrise service will also be held Sunday at 7 a.m. with Easter breakfast to follow. All are welcome.

Hunt Planned

FREWSBURG – The town of Carroll will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday at Frewsburg Central School. The event is for pre-school through sixth-grade children, and will take place outside at the tennis court area. In case of bad weather the event will be held inside the school.

Cantata Set For Good Friday

The Holy Apostles Parish Choir will present the hourlong cantata, “The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Theodore Dubois at 12:10 p.m. Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church on Cherry Street. The public is welcome to attend.

Card-Making Class Offered

ASHVILLE -The Ashville Free Library will host a card-making class from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, April 8. A note card and small calendar card will be made. The cost of $5 will cover materials. Additional classes will be offered if attendees wish to continue. Registration is required; visit the library or call 763-9906 to register. The library will also host Master Gardener “Trowel Talks” at 6:30 p.m. on May 6, May 13 and May 20. The first workshop will consist of gardening basics followed by composting with worms. At the last workshop, participants will learn how to make a bucket garden. Registration is required.

Bake Sale

Set For Friday

FORESTVILLE – The Order of the Eastern Star will hold a bake sale Friday at 9 a.m. at the Evans Bank in Forestville.

Planning Board To Meet Thursday

LITTLE VALLEY – The Cattaraugus County Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the third floor large committee room in the Cattaraugus County Center, 303 Court St., Little Valley. The public is welcome to attend.

Egg Hunt

Moved To April 6

CELORON – Due to the inclement weather the village of Celoron, the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association and the Lakewood Celoron Loyal Order of Moose 2587 have rescheduled their annual children’s Easter egg hunt to Saturday, April 6, in Lucille Ball Memorial Park. Each child can register to win a bike. Registration for the bike drawings will be held between 9 and 10 a.m. at the Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron. One bike will be given away in each of the following age categories: 1-3; 4-6; 7-9 and 10-12. The Easter egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m.

College Park To Host Egg Hunt

East Side Fellowship Club’s 62nd annual Easter egg hunt will be held Saturday at College Park, Jamestown. Ages 12 and under are welcome to participate.
