Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Chautauqua County Airport in Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Library To Host Dr. Seuss Event

ELLINGTON – The Farman Free Library will host a Dr. Seuss Birthday Party on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Events include stories, games, activities and birthday cake. The Farman Free Library is located at 760 Thornton Road in downtown Ellington. For more information, call the library at 287-2945 during regular business hours. The library is open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Hunt Canceled

The annual Busti Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled.

Mayville Egg Hunt Postponed

The Mayville Easter Egg Hunt, previously scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to April 14 due to the weather. The hunt will be held at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Park.

Blood Drive Set For Tuesday

CHERRY CREEK – A blood drive will be held at the Cherry Creek Fire Hall fro 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Seniors To Meet On Wednesday

The Kiantone Seniors will meet at noon Wednesday in the Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road. The Rev. Mel McGinnis gave the blessing at a recent meeting. Irene Levan, president, presided. Many topics were discussed. Al Woodard, treasurer, gave the financial report, and Fran Moynihan read the minutes.

Fresh Anointing Set For Friday

Blackwell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 610 Spring St., Jamestown, will hold Fresh Anointing, a Good Friday service, at 7 p.m. on Friday. Guest speakers will include Bishop LeeCroft Clarke and Rose Marie Clarke, evangelist, both of Healing Word Ministries; Chloe Smith, minister, of Zion Tabernacle; Reggie Smith Jr., a local preacher of Blackwell Chapel; and the Rev. Scott Waterman, of the Revolutionary Life Church Praise Team. Music will be provided by the Healing Word Ministries.

Last Fish Fry

Dinner Is Friday

Blackwell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 610 Spring St., Jamestown, will host the last fish fry of the Lenten season beginning at 4 p.m. until sold out on Friday. The dinner includes a choice of fried or baked catfish or tilapia, potato, coleslaw, bread and dessert. The cost is $8 per person. Fish sandwiches are $5 each. Delivery is available. The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Soil and Water Conservation District Office, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
