The Village of Bemus Point conducted its annual Easter Egg Hunt in the village park on Saturday in spite of winter-like weather.
More than 200 children brought their parents and grandparents to witness the race to hunt down sweets and prizes and to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
Prizes donated by Bemus Point and surrounding area businesses made the event a huge success for the children ages 12 and under.
Bemus Point Fire Department transported the Easter Bunny aboard Engine 442 to the village park for the start of the event.
In addition to thousands of candy treats, more than 30 Easter baskets, prizes and chocolate bunnies were awarded to the hunt winners. Special thanks go to the event organizer, Jill Braund, village clerk; and to Debbie Daniels for her hand-made Easter baskets, as well as to the Bemus Point Village Board.
