Antique Assn. To Meet Tuesday

The first meeting of the year for the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Laona United Methodist Church, corner of Porter Avenue and Wilson Road, Laona. Plans will be discussed for the member Plow Day at Stockton next to the association ground May 11. Early plans for the 39th annual Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Show Aug.16-18 at the show grounds in Stockton featuring the White corporate group of tractors and their antecedents will also be discussed. Wednesday evening work nights start May 1 at 6 p.m. Projects this year include running water and electricity to the new pavilion and pouring a floor for it, and adding a porch to the museum.

Kiantone Seniors Meet Wednesday

KIANTONE – The Kiantone Senior Citizens meet the fourth Wednesday of each month. The meeting place has changed from Kiantone Fire Hall to the Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, Kiantone. The group meets at noon for a potluck luncheon followed by a meeting. New members are always welcome.

BPU Blood Drive Is Thursday

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will host a Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the BPU Education Room, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. Lunch will be provided free-of-charge to blood donors. Donors may access the BPU Bloodmobile by entering the “D” driveway at 92 Steele St. to reach the BPU parking lot. Facing the building from the parking lot, one should enter the right door under the green awning beside the BPU Customer Service Department and take the elevator to the first floor. Donors will need a picture ID such as a blood donor card or driver’s license. Donors must be in good health and at least 17 years of age. Walk-ins are welcome. Library To Close For Easter

FREWSBURG – Myers Memorial Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday for Easter weekend.
