If you’ve entered either the Cattaraugus County Bank in Jamestown or Dunkirk you know branch officials are celebrating their fifth anniversary.
March 17 was the actual five-year “birthday” for both branches. The bank, which is also known as CCB, celebrated the entire week with a spring gardening celebration at the Jamestown branch, which is located at 870 Fairmount Ave. During the week, bank customers entered a contest to win a spring basket that contains gardening items. Also, people could enter to win a $50 Home Depot gift card. Refreshments and cookies were given away during the week and hot dogs on Friday. In Dunkirk, the CCB branch, located at 1165 Main St. Extension, accepted entries for a springtime grapevine wreath. Also, the branch gave away a $25 Tops Markets gift card each day of the week.
Scott Crist, Cattaraugus County Bank vice president of business development and lending and Jamestown branch manager, said he has enjoyed getting to know members of the community during the last five years. He said he has been involved in the YMCA board and the bank has sponsored local youth sports teams.
“I think we’re really involved in the personal side of bank. We’re able to get a true understand of who are customers are. It is more than just a transaction to us,” he said. “If you need something, stop in and you’re going to talk to someone. We have all the online banking services if you like that, but you can still talk to someone, if you want. People still value that. Being able to see and meet with who they are dealing with.”
The Jamestown branch is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.
CCB, which is headquartered in Little Valley, is an FDIC-insured New York state-chartered independent, community bank.
“The addition of Jamestown and Dunkirk to our existing Chautauqua County market area has been rewarding and important to our commercial and consumer loan and deposit growth,” said Salvatore Marranca, CCB president and chief executive officer. “We are very pleased with the early results and look forward to even greater success in the future. Every day, more and more customers are experiencing our high level of personal service, personal relationships and true independent local banking.”
