Frewsburg Lions To Meet Monday
The Frewsburg Lions Club met recently in the Frewsburg Central School community room.
Speaker for the evening was Tom Allison, Carroll highway superintendent. He gave an overview of the Highway Department, past and present. He also told about the cooperation between towns by sharing equipment, which results in considerable cost savings. A question-and-answer time followed. He was introduced by De Warn, program chairman for the evening.
At the business meeting, conducted by Gary Wells, president, members were reminded that the annual spaghetti dinner will be held on April 27. Wells and Lions member Don Dove encouraged all members to consider attending the Multiple District 20 Convention to be held in Buffalo on May 17-19. This is the closest that the convention is ever held and Lions can take advantage of meeting other Lions and attending presentations to learn more about Lionism in our district and worldwide.
Past President Tom Swanson presented the first reading of the slate of officers for 2013-14. Voting will take place at the meeting on Monday which will be held at Zion Lutheran Church due to the school holiday.
