Area Police Reports


KIANTONE – Matthew W. Fowler, 18, of Bemus Point was charged with not stopping at a stop sign. Deputies on Monday at 6:04 p.m. investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Donelson and South Main streets in Kiantone. Fowler was traveling south on Main Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He struck an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was taken to WCA Hospital for minor injuries. Fowler was uninjured, and will appear in Kiantone Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE – Alex Lescynski, 18, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree possession of stolen property. Deputies on Feb. 20 were notified that a snowmobile was stolen. An investigation led to the recovery of the item. Lescynski was charged and arraigned in Chautauqua Court. Lescynski was released under supervision of probation.


OLEAN – Brian J. Bliss, 31, of North 15th Street, was charged with petit larceny. Deputies said Bliss took a gift card worth $473.38 without permission. He was taken into custody and released with appearance tickets. Bliss is due back in court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Jennifer S. Goode, 40, South Main Street, was charged with petit larceny. Goode was taken into custody on a previous incident at Holiday Valley Ski Resort where she was giving out ski passes. She was released and will be back in court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Ronald J. Weston, 54, of Burlington, Ontario, was charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing police, aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18 percent, failure to keep right and two counts of speeding. Deputies on Sunday stopped Weston after he was spotted driving 100 mph. He accelerated when police tried to pull him over. Weston was being held on bail to return to Salamanca Court.

SOUTH DAYTON – Daniel E. Gleason, 30, of Church Street, was charged with third-degree assault. Gleason was issued an appearance ticket and will be back in court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Bernard Isaac Jr., 30, of Cottage Avenue, was charged with unlawful growing of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana. An investigation was conducted by members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, State Police and the regional drug task force. Isaac will be in court at a later date.
