Arthur E. Hahn
FORESTVILLE – Arthur E. Hahn, 76, of Hopper Road, Forestville, died Thursday, March 14, at TLC/HN-Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Buffalo, on Aug. 18, 1936, the son of the late Fredrick and Berle (Valentine) Hahn.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-57 and received the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Hahn worked as a highway equipment operator for the New York State Department of Transportation in Fredonia, for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Hanover Fish & Game Club and formerly taught leather craft for 4-H. Mr. Hahn enjoyed leather craft, repairing machinery, farming and trap shooting.
Survivors include two sons: Ross Hahn, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Scott (Brandy Coon-Hahn) Hahn, of Forestville; a brother: Douglas (Judith) Hahn, of Forestville; and a sister, Doris Hahn, of Orchard Park. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Sternisha) Hahn, whom he married on April 8, 1961, and who died March 17, 1992.
There will be no visitation observed. Memorial services will be held from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville, Monday morning at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce M. Ellis, pastor of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating. Military services will follow.
