Thule Lodge To Meet Saturday

BEMUS POINT- The Thule Lodge will hold its monthly meeting at the lodge on 4123 Pancake Hill Road this Saturday at 2 p.m. Following the meeting, the annual Easter Swedish festival of food will be held. The festival is known in Swedish as the “egg sexa” meaning foods made with eggs. Members are encouraged to attend. The Thule Lodge, now into its 106th year in this area, continues to preserve the Swedish heritage through events and activities. New members are always welcome.

Benefit Set For Sunday

A benefit for Anna Raynor, whose daughter was killed in a sledding accident, will host a spaghetti dinner benefit from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Ashville Fire Hall. There will be a disc jockey and Chinese auction. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. The public is welcome to attend.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Planned

LEON – The Celebration Fellowship Church, intersection of Route 62 and Cherry Creek Hill, Leon, will hold a St. Patrick’s Day dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. Featured will be corned beef and cabbage and homemade desserts. Takeouts will be available.

Movie Event Set For Saturday

Christ First United Methodist Church, 1663 Lakeview Ave., will hold a free community movie event at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in Darrah Hall. Popcorn, beverages and pizza will be available for purchase during intermission. Proceeds will benefit missions and the outreach coordinator.

Gerry Firefighters To Meet March 19

GERRY – Gerry Volunteer Fire Auxiliary members will meet at 7 p.m. on March 19 in the fire hall. Business will be discussed, and a program will be held. Refreshments will be served. All members are encouraged to attend.

Farmland Board To Meet March 19

GREAT VALLEY – The Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board will host a discussion about the future of agriculture in Cattaraugus County at 7 p.m. March 19 in the Great Valley Town Hall. A panel of local experts will each give brief comments on their view of the current status of agricultural in Cattaraugus County and the region. Dave Zilker, chairman of the Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, will then moderate an open discussion. Light refreshments will be available. Poland Seniors To Hold Potluck

KENNEDY – Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a potluck lunch on March 20 in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Anyone attending should take a dish to pass and their table service. All are welcome to attend. Jim and Joyce Beightol, Bob and Donna Cross are the committee.
