Clymer’s Lictus Honored As Boys Division 4 MVP

Senior Dan Lictus of Clymer was named the Division 4 boys basketball most valuable player for 2012-13.

Lictus guided the Pirates to a 13-6 record and they reached the Section 6 Class D semifinals before losing to eventual champion Sherman.

Sherman and Brocton, which tied for the championship, placed two players on the first team.

Juniors Andrew Graham and Ryan Robson of Sherman and seniors Dan Ferguson and Jordan Patterson of Brocton were named as well as Lictus and Jared Keppel of North Collins.

Jeff Franze of Brocton was the coach of the year and West Valley was the team sportsmanship award winner and Marcus Enser of WV was the individual sportsmanship winner.

The second team had three juniors and three seniors. Clymer had juniors Mitchell Einink and Jacob Wiggers and Sherman placed Devin Morehead on the team.

Colton Myers and Mike Grigsby of West Valley and Alex Steinbroner of Ellicottville were the seniors chosen.
