Harmony Senior Citizens Hold Monthly Meeting

The Harmony Senior Citizens met on March 7 for their monthly meeting at Panama United Methodist Church. Beverly Smith conducted the meeting. Chaplin Melvin Lord welcomed everyone by reading “Little Acts of Kindness,” led the flag salute and asked the blessing.

There were 45 members in attendance. Minutes and the treasurer’s report were read and approved.

March birthdays were celebrated by Martha Chapman, Chuck Ellis, Martha Gleason, Cherry Potter, Wendie Raynor, Janet Walker and Ellen Coffaro. Keith and Cindy Miller celebrated an anniversary.

Terry Kindberg from BOCES presented slides on the Children’s Safety Village. Pig and Poke and other prizes were given out.

On Thursday the seniors are invited to attend the musical at Panama Central School.

The next meeting will be April 4 with an Easter Bonnet Parade. Committee members are: Janis and Lyle Walker, Chuck and Dee Ellis, Lois King and Dottie Enlow.

Senior Council Trivia Day will be May 9 at North Harmony Club House. Two teams have been selected for the games.
