Speaker Series Continues Tuesday
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series continues on Tuesday. Kate Gross, Midway and Long Point state parks superintendent, will be discussing the future of the state parks in Chautauqua County. The event will be held at the Bemus Point Historical Society Museum on Alburtus Avenue in Bemus Point beginning at 7 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

Senior Report To Host Ferguson
MAYVILLE – “Senior Report with Reed Powers” will have Mike Ferguson as the guest on Saturday. Ferguson is the director of marketing for Merritt Winery. John Hamels will guest host the show. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions, comments or a shout-out. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Powers has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
Westfield GOP To Host Dinner
WESTFIELD – The Westfield Town Republican Committee is sponsoring a meet the candidates spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church, Main Street, Westfield. Mayor David Carr, Trustee Chris Jaynes, and Tom Rackowski, a candidate for the Westfield Village Board, will be in attendance. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets may be purchased from any committee member, elected official serving the town or village or from Marilyn Hemmer, ticket chairperson, at 326-3504. Tickets will also be available at the door. Two ticket holders will win a $25 gift certificate to Beth’s Parkview Cafe. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Patterson Library.
