JHS Senior Describes Exchange Experience For Frewsburg Lions

Jamestown High School senior Nolan Wells was the speaker at the Feb. 25 meeting of the Frewsburg Lions Club. Wells spent his junior year as a Rotary Club Exchange Student in Australia.

Following a PowerPoint presentation, he answered questions about his life in that country. He was introduced by his father, Lion Mike Wells, program chair for the evening. He is also the grandson of Lion President Gary Wells.

At the business meeting members unanimously approved the revised constitution which was presented at the last meeting. Gary Wells thanked Martha Dove for her efforts in researching the changes to the constitution.

A donation of $200 was made to Lions Camp Badger. The camp provides recreation and education in a camp-like setting for the handicapped. It was also reported that the net profit from the recent pancake breakfast was more than $400.

A proposed slate of officers for next year will be presented at the next meeting of the club to be held on Monday in the community room at Frewsburg Central School .
