Thrift Shop To Hold Spring Sale

With spring just around the corner, St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, is having a half-price sale on all remaining merchandise throughout the shop except household items, jewelry and merchandise that is already reduced. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for sales and for receiving. Items may also be dropped off 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays. Off-street parking is available in the church lot located off East Fifth Street. Proceeds from the shop, which is run by volunteers from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church as well as RSVP and the community, are donated to local outreach programs.

Porcelain Artists To Meet Saturday

The Chautauqua County Porcelain Artists will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ First United Methodist Church. Porcelain china with an Easter theme will be painted. Members should take china, paints and a sandwich for lunch. Sylvia Johnson will provide dessert. Carol White, president, will give devotions. All local porcelain artists are welcome to attend.

Food Handlers Class Is March 19

DUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County Certified Food Handler class will be held on Tuesday, March 19, in the Jamestown Community College North Training Center, Room 119, 10807 Bennett Road, Dunkirk. BBCA To Hold Lasagna Dinner

Bethel Baptist Christian Academy will be holding its annual lasagna dinner and talent show on March 15. Dinner and homemade dessert will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. a talent show will feature a variety of performers and acts presented by the students and staff including skits and both vocal and instrumental numbers. Reservations for the dinner will be accepted until Friday and are confirmed if pre-paid. The cost of the dinner will be adults $8, students in grades 2-12 $6, pre-K-first $4, ages 3 and under are free and family of 5 or more will be $35. Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday
