Lake Erie Residential Community Opens In Fredonia
With a $2.9 million starting investment and a series of improvements yet to come, the Lake Erie Residential Community was officially opened with a ribbon cutting on Feb. 11.
The former McClenathan’s Mobile Home Park on East Main Street in Fredonia will see numerous upgrades this year including a new bus stop for children, new street signs, road repair, storage barn rehabilitation and much more.
Now owned by Lake Erie MHP, LLC, the 11th residential manufactured housing community operated by FreeHold Real Estate Management group, Lake Erie Residential Community is focused on improvement, growth and service to the community.
Partner Scott Gladstone said, “Our goal is to once again make this a community the residents are proud to call home. I am confident that with the collaborative efforts of the local community, management, residents and the Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Erie Residential Community will thrive.”
The original park was built in the 1970s and has grown in stages over the years to include 159 mobile home sites and three apartments. Currently, it includes four new homes and a number of used homes, all reasonably priced. Custom homes are also available and can be designed according to home owners’ requirements. Rental homes start at $595.
In addition to its investment in the property and its development, Lake Erie MHP, LLC will support the community philanthropically. For each home sold in the park, the organization will make a donation to the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County.
The Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce and the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce assisted in putting together the grand-opening event and ribbon cutting.
Todd Tranum, Chautauqua County Chamber president and CEO, said, “It is always positive for our communities when an investor sees the potential and has the resources to infuse new life into a local facility like this. We look forward to a long and positive relationship with Lake Erie Residential Community and welcome them to the Fredonia area.”
The complex has four full-time employees and is working with a number of local contractors, including Owl Homes, Vacanti’s Extreme Signs, Hawk Construction, and others. Local Realtor Brenda Burgstrom from Premier Realty 679-7653 is handling all used and new home sales.
