The Jamestown Elite travel basketball team went 3-1 during a round-robin tournament last weekend.

The Elite, made up of players from fifth and sixth grades, played a pair of games in Warren on Saturday before finishing out on Sunday with a game in Jamestown.

In the opening battle, Madeline Bowen netted 10 points and Hannah Frederick six in a 27-8 win over Warren’s fifth- and sixth- grade team.

Erin Radack added five steals in the opening victory.

Squaring off against Warren’s seventh- and eighth-grade squad, Jamestown fell, 17-15. Bowen again led the way with six points and Frederick followed with four.

Olivia Gates scored with two seconds remaining to help the Elite edge Titusville (seventh and eight graders), 15-13, in game three. Gates tally broke a 13-13 tie with her late bucket, giving her four points for the contest. Also during that game, Allie Stockwell had five points and four rebounds.

Jamestown finished off the weekend with an 18-10 victory over Dunkirk Salvation Army.

Stockwell led the way with five points and three steals while Radack chipped in with four points.
