Lakers Will Play For Bantam Red Division Title Today

The Jamestown Lakers will meets Canandaigua for the Bantam Red championship at 1:55 p.m. today in the Mid-Winter Classic youth hockey tournament at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.

Armstrong-Miller plays West Seneca for the Squirt Red title at 9:20 a.m. followed at 10:20 a.m.with Squirt White Division title game between Strongsville and Steel City.

The Squirt Blue title will be decided at 11:25 a. m. between Hamburg and Niagara Junior Purple Eagles, the Bantam White title game between the Butler Valley and Rochester will be at 3:15 p.m. and the Pee Wee Blue title games between Southtowns and Butler Valley-Kline is scheduled at 10:50 a.m.

The teams are to be determined for the Pee Wee White crown at 12:45 p.m. and the Pee Wee Red title at 3:25 p.m.

Following are Sunday’s results.


Joey Gerace delivered a hat trick as Jamestown Lakers topped Butler Valley-Milchak, 4-2.

Gerace converted a pass from Jarred Ristau and Michael Derby for his first goal. He then scored unassisted and got his third goal from Trevor Dykstra and Derby.

Gerace and Jarod Anderson drew assists on Ristau’s goal.

Justin Yuiska and Jordan Zabroski tallied in the loss with Ben Rodgers, Zachary Broskey and Anthony Sanchilli along with Yuiska assisting.

Gerace and Michel Mammoser scored unassisted goals as the Jamestown Lakers edged Canandaigua, 2-1.

James Williams scored the Canandaigua goal from Jack McWilliams and Jaydon MacNeil.

Alex Burley scored two goals while Andrew Crean and Alex Hernandez had one each as Canandaigua downed West Seneca, 4-1.

Justin Rolfe picked up two assists while Damien Spitz and McWilliams had one in the win.

West Seneca goal was by L. Wischmann assisted by R. Krzykowski and E. Boccoluci.

Butler Valley-Giannamore blanked West Seneca, 3-0, with Yuiska, Sanchill and Martin scoring goals.

Yuiska and Luke Tomasovic posted assists.


Jared Taylor had two goals, Kevin Bott and Andrew Norris scored goals as Butler Valley-Milchak blanked the Pittsburgh Vipers, 4-0.

Dylan George, Frank Pucciarelli and Gage Crissman plus Norris managed assists in the win.

Taylor scored two more goals, Dalton Pappas, Bott, Norris and George contributed goals when Butler Valley-Milchak shutout Armstrong, 6-0.

Pucciarelli and Crissman had two assists as did Jonathan Kim while Luke Donnelly and Norris added one assist.

Kyle Novak found the back of the net three times, Ryan Collette twice and Nicholas Wallace once as the Pittsburgh Vipers blanked Bud Bakewell, 6-0.

Connor Cenci assisted on three goals, Collette two and Nikolas Kaminski, Jason Haines and Novak one apiece.

Bud Bakewell walloped North Pittsburgh, 8-0, with Adam Smith, Cameron Collignon and Jeffrey Czyz scoring twice.

Charles Falcone and James Bonn completed the goal scorering for Bakewell.

Erriono Giardina collected five assists while Travis Porterfield, Jeffrey Czyn and Adam Smith had two, and Bonn and Jimmy Martin one each in the win.

Matthew Wiza, Jacob Dillan and Bradley Caryl scored goals as Rochester gained a 3-1 verdict over the Pittsburgh Vipers.

Wiza, Sean Erne and Evan Kaiser earned assists in the victory.

Erne scored from Matthew Wright as Rochester edged Butler Valley-Milchak, 1-0.


Mitchell Pascarella tallied unassisted and Brian Burns scored from Kole Maytum as Jamestown-Taylor lost to Rocky River, 4-2.

Trevor Thompson, Noah Hess, Connor McGowan and Jacob Gaudino had the goals for Rocky River.

David Strick, Tommy Kelly, Frankie Lord and Hess had assists in the win.

Brice Delaney recorded two goals and Jacob Gross and Christian Fitch added goals when Steel City tied with Armstrong, 4-4.

Ian Jackson and Christopher Rudy had the assists for the Steel City.

For Armstrong, Jace Rearic had two goals while Taite Dushek and Seth Nicodemus had one each with Rearic and Spencer Wood having assists.

A 5-0 shutout was recorded by Butler Valley-Stayduhar over the Steel City.

Clay Potochny, Giovanni Sarachine, Jacob Schwarzbach, Luke English and Andrew Martin scored the goals.

The assists went to Luke Reiser with two and Schwarzbach, Sarachine and Martin with one each.


Tyler Tocci recorded two goals and Luke Henne one as North Pittsburgh prevailed over Niagara County, 3-1.

Kevin Guerrieri, Kyle Guerrieri and Nick Kairys provided the assists for North Pittsburgh.

For Niagara County, Drew Haseley tallied from Grant Asklar and Nick Wood.

Bud Bakewell beat Butler Valley-McKee 3-1 with Mike Ranieri scoring twice and Cole Miller once.

Richard Little, John Mcnally and Austin Spatorico had assists in the win.

Shane Miller got the Butler Valley goal from Troy Gilland.

Will Meglio’s two goals led Butler Valley-Hulbert to a 4-1 decision over Youngstown.

Joe Folmer and R.J. Fisher had the other goals with assists to Fisher, Meglio, Alex Rihn, Youri Prokesch, Ryan Bates and Camden Jackson.


Brett Sowa, Andrew Dix, Luke DePonceau and Jackson Knupp scored goals as Jamestown MOHL took a 4-0 decision over Butler Valley-Garbutt.

Sowa tallied on penalty shot, Dix scored unassisted, DePonceau tallied from Brandon Prentice, and Knapp scored from Jacob Gerace and Sowa.

Southtown Stars and Butler Valley-Kline battled to a 2-2 deadlock.

Ronan Argy-Junker and Mike Moeller scored with assists to Brendon Eynon and D.J. Osinski for the Stars.

David Hanna and Jonathan Venture tallied for Butler Valley with assists going to Ryan Koprivnikar, Benjamin Cutuli and Ryan Iverson.


Nicholas Trapasso tallied three times, Joshua Seider twice and Cole Bartlotta once when the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles tripled the score on Butler Valley-Folmer, 6-2.

Single assists went to the winners’ Joseph Riddle, Trenton Gondek, Ryan Binzel, Justin Currie, Riley Carr and Joshua Seider.

Jacob Gardner had both goals for Butler Valley with the first unassisted and the second from Aidan Strobel.

The Hamburg Hawks recorded a 3-0 shutout over the Butler Valley-Silberman as Cameron Sticht, Owen Gifford and Nicholas Torchia scored goals.

Alexander Dzimian produced two assists and Ryan Walsh one.

Zack Pejeau scored two goals while Luke McCann and Murphy Mohar had one each as Winterhurst defeated Armstrong-Brison, 4-1.

Logan Cox managed three assists and Pejeau one in the victory.

Cole Mitchell tallied from Jared Chantz for Armstrong goal.

Colin Boyle had both goals as Butler Valley-Silberman nipped Winterhurst, 2-1.

Nicholas Bruce and Lucas Enos drew the assists on Boyle’s goals.

Isaac Young with assists from Will Holden and Anthony Fovozzo tallied for Winterhurst.

Joseph Pucciarelli, Camden Davis and Joey Pankowski found the range as Butler Valley-Folmer shaded the Hamburg Hawks, 3-2.

Aiden Strobel assisted on Pankowski’s goal for the winners.

Dzimian scored both Hamburg goals with the lone assist to Eric Duma.

Barlotta and Trapasso divided four goals to lead the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles to a 9-0 win over Armstrong-Brison.

Charles Piggot, Matthew Ornella, Riddle and Seider also had goals for the winners.

Trapasso, Piggot and Currie had two assists while an assist went to Gondek, Seider and Patrick Dworak.


William Turner scored an unassisted tally for the lone goal in a 12-1 loss by the Jamestown MOHL to the Steel City.

Brandon John and Alejandro Pietz had hat tricks, Anthony Lobb two goals, Brody Simko, Dom Cerra, Jacob Cochran and Max Quinn one each for Steel City.

Cochran produced three assists, Simko and Quinn two and Scanlon, Zach Barr and Will Badeer one each in the win.

Bradley Wracher found the range twice and Nathan Rajecki, David Wohlabaugh and Nick Reichelderfer once as Strongsville defeated Niagara County, 5-1.

Assists went to Andrew Gus, Jaime Melland, Wohlabaugh and Reichelderfer for the winners.

Niagara County got on the scoreboard when Brandon Barone scored from Dylan Bush and Alex Trimboli.
