FINDLEY LAKE – A world-class fitness center, a hot tub and an infinity pool are all planned for the new clubhouse at Fairway Suites at the Peak.

Last month, Fairway Suites at the Peak, which is owned by French Creek Properties and managed by American Resort Management, announced the ground breaking of its new clubhouse, scheduled to open for the 2013 summer season. Fairway Suites at the Peak is located adjacent to the Peek’n Peak Resort & Spa.

The new clubhouse will include a meeting room, with a fireplace; a state-of-the-art fitness and workout center, with extensive cardio, Nautilus and Life Fitness equipment and shower and locker rooms; an outdoor infinity pool; a hot tub designed for year-round use; and a professionally designed garden and patio area, which will showcase a wood-burning fire pit.

“The 4,200-square-foot clubhouse will include a world-class fitness center, with men’s and women’s locker room facilities and showers. There will also be a multipurpose meeting room, with a large fireplace,” said Tim Thomas, American Resort Management Financial services director. “Behind the building is going to be a four seasons deck. It is going to have a hot tub in it and behind the deck an infinity pool, which are one of those pools that look like they go off into infinity.”

Thomas said the clubhouse should be opened by the beginning of June.

“We’re hoping to have everything done by Memorial Day weekend,” he said. “That is the game plan, but in Western New York, with that being said, who knows (with the weather).”

The project will cost around $1.8 million.

Fairway Suites at the Peak is not affiliated with Peek’n Peak Resort & Spa. The newly renovated accommodations at Fairway Suites feature luxury studios as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom condo suites. Thomas said there are 36 units that can be rented in any combination for couples or for families.

“It is an ideal place for family reunions. People can cook there and stay there, and they have privacy and togetherness, as well,” Thomas said.
