City Woman Faces Assault Charge
A Jamestown woman has been charged with assault and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child following an incident Monday evening in the city.
The Jamestown Police Department said Tuesday it has charged Tiffany M. Lebel, 29, after police responded to East Second Street for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers observed Lebel standing next to the street yelling at a male inside a vehicle.
Police later found that Lebel had bitten the man during a domestic dispute, causing a cut on the victim. The incident allegedly occurred in front of four children who live in the residence.
While investigating the incident, Lebel began to walk away from officers after being told to stop several times, but refused to do so.
Lebel was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. No further information regarding the incident was available Tuesday.
Lebel was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was awaiting arraignment.
