Southwestern Completes Season Sweep Of Falconer

FALCONER – Southwestern made it two straight this season over rival Falconer in Division 1 girls basketball on Monday night.

The Lady Trojans (5-6) outscored Falconer (1-11, 1-15) in each quarter and rolled to a 59-29 verdict.

Alex Sullivan scored nine of her 11 points in a 16-8 first quarter for Southwestern. Teammate Jenna Yuchnitz had 10 by halftime as the Lady Trojans held a 31-12 margin.

Yuchnitz finished with 17 points, Emily Wuebbolt 12 and Sullivan 11 with a pair of 3-pointers for the winners.

Shannon Gunnell had 12 points and 11 rebounds while Falconer teammate Emma Steele contributed five steals and three assists. Julia Anderson also had three assists.
