Wildcats Breeze Past N. Collins

NORTH COLLINS – The first quarter set the tempo for Sherman as it remained tied with Brocton (10-1) in Division 4 boys basketball Friday night.

With seven different players scoring, led by Jake Card with five of his seven points, the Wildcats (13-4) went on an 18-1 run and that led to an eventual 67-31 victory over North Collins (5-6, 8-9).

Sherman took advantage of 24 turnovers that led to easy baskets and by halftime the score had mounted to 44-14. Reserve Nathan Ottaway scored all nine of his points in the first half.

Devin Moorhead sank 11 points with two 3-pointers while adding five assists and five steals for the winners.

Andrew Graham also had 11 points and five assists, Ryan Robson eight points and six rebounds and Ryan Myers seven points and seven rebounds in the win.
