Marsh Swims For Titans At Power Point Meet

WEBSTER – Megan Marsh of Bemus Point competed for the Town of Tonawanda Titans in the Senior Power Point Meet last weekend.

The Titans finished first at the Senior IMX Championship Meet, which had more than 30 teams from the Niagara District participating.

Marsh swam all eight individual events and five team relays throughout the three-session meet, competingagainst 80 to 100 swimmers from the Niagara District in the 13 and older age group.

She was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.61), 50 breaststroke (32.55) and 100 IM (1:03.11). She had a personal-best time in her 50 breaststroke.

Marsh was fourth in the 200 IM, posting a personal-best time of 2:11.61, earning her a cut for the upcoming Virginia Speedo Sectional Meet in March.

She swam a 55.86 leading off her 400 freestyle relay for a second-place finish.

Marsh swam the 500 freestyle in a 5:20.17, placing seventh, and a 1:02.45 in the butterfly, placing 10th.

She helped her 200 freestyle relay team place fourth by leading off with a 26.0.

The Titans also placed second in the 800 freestyle relay, with Marsh swimming a 1:59 relay split.
